Girls come in all shapes and sizes. Some body shapes give them an advantage in certain sports. Girls with long legs may gravitate toward track while those with a shorter stature may be more likely to excel in gymnastics.
Trans girls also come in all shapes and sizes. But first, they are girls and deserve the right to play sports in middle and high school along with the other girls in their school.
I believe Maine was correct in protecting the rights of trans girls under Title IX. For if they are denied equal protection, we are saying they are not equal to other girls. That is just not true.
Trans people are equal members of their gender, they deserve the same rights and protections.
