I am an independent voter. In my 58 years, I have never seen an elected official with the commitment Troy Jackson has to his belief that government should serve the people. Throughout his years in the state Legislature, he has shown me that he is not there for titles, but for the teachers, fishermen, healthcare workers, forestry and industrial workers, elders, veterans, kids, Wabanaki, and small businesses that keep this state running. He has gotten bipartisan bills through when the Legislature was paralyzed by partisan division. He has weathered hits from establishment Democrats and large corporations. As a committed advocate of social justice, he has held his ground in the face of right-wing assaults. And he has maintained his integrity and clarity of purpose through it all.

I believe he listens closely to voters and learns from them, regardless of party affiliation or district, integrating their needs into policy for the simple aim of making life better for Mainers. He does not toe a party line if it doesn’t make sense. He does not shy away from disagreement but works to problem solve.

Troy Jackson transcends party politics to serve Maine’s people. In a time of extreme divisions, this is more necessary than ever.

He has already earned enthusiastic support among voters across both congressional districts. I believe he is clearly the strongest candidate to win the election in 2026, and the one who, as governor, will not continue to feed the false divides among us, but will work to overcome them. We need this.
