After the June 27 presidential debate, there have been numerous criticisms of President Joe Biden’s debate performance, some even calling for him to give up his candidacy. I believe that many of these criticisms are exaggerated and fail to take account of Donald Trump’s behavior in the debate. While I did not keep count, I heard Trump spout lies, probable lies and personal insults. He also refused to answer several questions. It must be difficult to debate someone like that.
Based on this and all I have seen and heard, I believe that Donald Trump has a very personal code of morality and behavior. He apparently thinks he is not bound or guided by any religion, laws, or the Constitution. To him, it seems that whatever he wants is right. If you want something different, he would most likely see you as his enemy. We must not elect such a man as president.
Joe Biden is a good man and has surrounded himself with knowledgeable and capable advisors. He has accomplished much good as president despite substantial opposition from Congress and Trump. I believe he deserves a chance to “finish the job,” and I intend to vote for him.
