Just substitute immigration for parenthood in Michael Cianchette’s recent column. It has an amazingly similar effect.
Immigrants, on average, are young, hard working and have more than two children. They pay income, Social Security, Medicare, and other federal, state, and local taxes for the benefit of all whether or not they are American citizens.
