Thanks for reminding all about the fiasco of Afghanistan and letting us know about the delay. The solution is to separate the Afghan legislation and have it voted independently. The immigration problem has nothing to do with Afghanistan.
As a civilian my wife and I volunteered to work in a hospital in Kabul in 1978 and were caught in the communist overthrow of the government. We were held captive for five days before being released and able to fly home. During all that time we were treated with consideration and civility. I share all of retired Commander Brian deLutio’s comments quoted in a recent BDN editorial. Congress should grow up and vote on all bills independently.
